Conservation

Silver Jungle is supporting these wildlife charities, sometimes particular species in particular pockets of forest. For more information about the conservation projects, please click on the links.

We are also collecting trees for Trees for Life. The silver grove currently has 114 trees in it. Please add your own.

We have raised over £9,500 for Save the Rhino International and this has been sent directly to Way Kambas in Sumatra to support a rhino protection unit run by the International Rhino Foundation. Save the Rhino is a UK-registered charity that supports anti-poaching and monitoring patrols, environmental education programmes, research and veterinary work in Africa and Asia.

We have raised over £7,000 for 21st Century Tiger, a conservation partnership between the Zoological Society of London and Global Tiger Patrol. Its mission is to protect tigers in the wild and ensure a future for them. With the help of wildlife experts and scientists across the world, they support and monitor projects in the Russian Far East, Indonesia, India and China.

Smaller sums have also been raised for the Zoological Society of London to support their conservation work with Indian rhinos; the RSPB in the UK, the Asian Rhino Project, working in Sumatra; the Brehm Fund for International Bird Conservation in Bonn, who are helping to protect rare species of hummingbird in Colombia; and CERCOPAN who are working with local communities in south-eastern Nigeria to protect their rainforests and monkeys.
