Rhinos have lived on this planet for millions of years, far longer than we have. There are now five species left: two African species, the white and black rhino, and three Asian species, the Indian, Javan and Sumatran. Three of the species are critically endangered. They are threatened by loss of habitat and by the constant demand for their horn.
