In the jungle

Welcome to Sumatra, home of many rare and unusual species, the world’s largest flower (Rafflesia arnoldii) and also its smallest fish (Paedocypris progenetica), home of the endangered orang-utan and the remaining Sumatran tigers. The island lies on one of the world’s most active fault lines where the Indo-Australian and Eurasian plates collide and suffers more than its fair share of bad luck.
